The working week can really wear you down, especially if you have to commute to an office every day. It often feels like the whole day is a waste – you wake up, travel, sit in the office for hours, travel back home, make dinner, shower, and go to bed, only to repeat the same routine the next day. But there’s a new trend on TikTok that might just save the day and make those weekdays a little more bearable.

Tina and her friends have found a way to “save the day” and reclaim their time. In a viral video with over 2.1 million views and 323,000 likes, Tina explains how they do it. If they have a really busy work day, they reach out to each other and ask, “hey, how’d you save the day?” It can be anything from going for a surf or taking a walk with their moms, to cooking a delicious meal or simply cozying up with a cup of tea and a good book. The point is to do something that makes the day feel like it had some space in it again.

Saving the day has become a fun challenge for Tina and her friends during the workweek. It brings intention back to their days and helps them find joy in the little things. Others on TikTok have shared their own ways of reclaiming their days. One person started their vegetable garden seeds, while another stopped by a friend’s house to eat and chat on the back porch. Carina Kazandjian even found solace in simply lying in the grass for 10 minutes.

There are so many ways to save the day and make those weekdays more enjoyable. Some choose to make pancakes for dinner on Thursdays to help them get through to Friday. Others prefer to read in the park or take a nap. Tina also shared some of her other favorite ways to save the day, such as taking a nice bath, reading interesting articles, watching comfort TV shows, or playing New York Times puzzles.

No matter how you frame it, the important thing is to find ways to reclaim your time and make the most of your days. So, next time you’re feeling overwhelmed by the daily grind, try saving the day in your own little way. It might just make all the difference.
