Piers Morgan Slams Troll Who Claims Long Covid is a “Money Making Scam” Following Kate Garraway’s Husband’s Health Battle
Piers Morgan has taken aim at a heartless troll who denies the existence of long Covid. The troll’s comments come in the wake of Kate Garraway’s husband, Derek Draper, battling the effects of Covid since 2020. Tragically, Derek lost his life to the virus in January, after enduring years of health complications.
Shortly before his passing, Derek suffered a cardiac arrest, prompting Kate to step away from her work commitments to support him. As she continues to share her husband’s story and his final moments through her new documentary, one Twitter user caught Piers’ attention with their outrageous claim that Covid is a “money making scam”.
The same individual also criticized Kate’s books and documentaries about Derek’s health, although their tweet has since been deleted. Piers wasted no time in firing back, calling the troll a heartless moron and expressing his hopes that they never experience the suffering Derek endured.
Kate’s husband’s health battle has been extensively documented in two award-winning films, “Finding Derek” and “Caring For Derek”, as well as through her updates in various interviews.
