Chelsea stars Ben Chilwell and Benoit Badiashile have made their return to training ahead of their team’s upcoming FA Cup quarter-final match against Leicester City. Chilwell had been sidelined with a knee injury since the beginning of the month, adding to his already injury-plagued season. However, the left-back is now back in training and is expected to be included in the squad for Sunday’s game. Badiashile, who has also struggled with fitness issues this season, has recovered from a groin injury and is in contention for the match as well.

The upcoming clash between Chelsea and Leicester holds significance as it is a repeat of the 2022 FA Cup final, which saw Leicester emerge victorious with a stunning last-minute goal from Youri Tielemans. Leicester, managed by Enzo Maresca, have been performing exceptionally well and are currently leading the Championship, on course to make a return to the top flight after their relegation last season. Pochettino praised Maresca for his team’s achievements and acknowledged the challenges they will face in the final stretch of the season.

Both Chilwell and Badiashile’s return to training provides Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel with additional options in defense. The availability of these players will undoubtedly boost Chelsea’s chances as they aim to secure a spot in the FA Cup semi-finals.
