Jasmine Harman was overcome with emotion during the latest episode of A Place in the Sun. The property expert was there to assist buyers Debra from London and Greg from Memphis as they embarked on a search for a holiday home in sunny Murcia, Spain. However, what shocked Jasmine was that the couple had never visited the area before and had only relied on watching the show to get a sense of what it was like.

With a budget of £150,000 and an additional £25,000 for flexibility, Debra and Greg were hoping to find a property that could accommodate them and their beloved dog Trinity. They wanted at least two bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths, with enough space for Greg, who is quite tall.

Jasmine couldn’t believe that the couple were willing to invest in a place they had never physically been to. She questioned their decision, asking if they were sure about buying in a location they didn’t really know. Debra responded by saying that although they hadn’t been there in person, they felt like they knew the area because they watched A Place in the Sun regularly.

The first property Jasmine showed them was a unique two-bedroom home in Los Puertos. It had a home recording studio and was priced at just under £155,000. The house was built into a hill and boasted a stunning outdoor terrace and pool.

The second option was a spacious property in Perin. It had four bedrooms, a pool, and ample outdoor space. The asking price for this property was £153,500.

Both Debra and Greg were pleasantly surprised by the area and felt that it exceeded their expectations. It seems that watching A Place in the Sun had given them a good idea of what to expect, and they were pleased with what they found in real life.

Jasmine, the host of A Place in the Sun, couldn’t help but get emotional while showing a couple around a potential property. She expressed her feelings, saying, “I mean even I’m getting emotional. I feel like this one is definitely going to be a strong contender.”

After regaining her composure, Jasmine met up with the buyers again and asked if they thought the property could be a contender. They agreed, saying, “Absolutely… when you know you know.” Despite thinking that property number two would be hard to beat, they also mentioned that having closer neighbors could be an improvement.

The third property they visited had an acre of land with an orchard, driveway, and pool. With three bedrooms and plenty of living space, it was listed for £150,500. However, Jasmine didn’t think the buyers were falling in love with it, despite its excellent value for money.

Property number four was a villa in Las Palas, featuring two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Although it was over budget at £185,000, the developer was willing to offer a discount, bringing the price down to £175,000.

The fifth and final property had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of living space. It also included a separate two-bedroom annexe. It was listed for £146,000.

After considering all the options, Debra and Greg were impressed with Jasmine’s work and had a tough decision to make. Ultimately, they decided to buy property number two, offering £150,000. However, their initial offer was rejected, and they had to accept a counter offer of just under £151,000.
