After being examined by doctors on Rikers Island, he was transferred to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. This move comes after Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction was overturned, leading to his transfer from an upstate prison to Rikers Island. Aidala, Weinstein’s attorney, described his client’s health as a “train wreck” and stated that he has spoken with Weinstein since his release.

Despite this development, he continues to face health issues, including cardiac problems, diabetes, sleep apnea, and eye problems.
