Sir Derek Jacobi also makes a comeback as Senator Gracchus. Djimon Hounsou’s character Juba is not involved in “Gladiator 2,” and the late Oliver Reed’s character Proximo dies on screen due to Reed’s real-life passing during the filming of the original movie.
