Travis Scott and Tyga’s friend Alexander “AE” Edwards got into a violent altercation at Richie Akiva’s annual “The After” afterparty in Cannes, France. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning and nearly caused harm to several models in attendance. According to a source, the brawl erupted around 5 a.m. when Scott, 33, and Tyga, 34, coincidentally found themselves at the DJ booth together.

Eyewitnesses claim that Scott allegedly grabbed the microphone from the party host, prompting Edwards to intervene and urge the rapper to show some love. However, a separate source states that Travis was the instigator, displaying erratic and aggressive behavior. It seemed as though he was looking for a fight with anyone in the vicinity.

Despite the fact that Scott and Tyga have a history of tension due to their past relationships with Kylie Jenner, the altercation was not related to the reality star. An insider reveals that while the shared ex may have contributed to the ongoing tension between the two men, it was not the direct cause of this particular fight.

The situation escalated when Scott reportedly threatened Tyga’s security, using racial slurs and asking if they wanted to die. In response, Edwards attempted to defuse the situation, but Scott returned with his producer friend Southside for backup. Allegedly, Southside pushed Edwards, who then retaliated by dragging Scott across the stage and throwing him off.

An eyewitness claims that Edwards and Tyga’s assistant proceeded to assault Travis, while Tyga remained calm throughout the entire ordeal. Eventually, security managed to intervene and break up the fight, allowing the party to continue as if nothing had happened. Scott and Southside quickly left the scene, while Tyga, Edwards, and their group remained at the French estate Domaine La Dilecta.

According to sources, the altercation lasted for quite some time before security was able to restore order. Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries during the argument. Representatives for Scott, Edwards, and Tyga have not yet responded to requests for comment.

The annual party, co-hosted by Sena, Andrei Gillott, Dimitri and Maurice Varsano, and Badius, featured DJ sets by Zack Bia, Ruckus with a special Diplo pop-up, Chase B, DJ Cruz, Ramsey, and Hale Zero. The event also showcased Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila and was presented by Mantra, powered by RepBets and Seventy One.

Just a few hours before the altercation, Cher, who is dating Edwards, captivated the crowd at the AmfAR Gala with a standing ovation. Despite the incident, the party continued until around 9 a.m., gradually winding down as the morning progressed. Eventually, the music was cut, and security managed to restore calm.
