Strictly Come Dancing Star Hires Lawyer to Clear Name Amidst Workplace Misconduct Accusations

Giovanni Pernice, the popular dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, has enlisted the help of a top lawyer to defend himself against multiple allegations of workplace misconduct. In response to the serious complaints made to the BBC, the law firm Carter Ruck has stated that they are currently gathering evidence. As the matter is ongoing, no further comments can be made at this time.

The 33-year-old dancer is reportedly fully cooperating with the BBC’s investigation and has hired a lawyer from Schillings to support his case. Giovanni’s spokesperson informed The Sun that they are working with BBC Studios to provide evidence that strongly refutes the claims against him. It is emphasized that Giovanni is fully cooperating with the process. The spokesperson also highlighted the duty of care that producers have towards all participants in reality TV shows, especially when decisions are made for entertainment purposes. While there are reports that Giovanni has quit the show after nine years, neither the BBC nor the dancer himself have confirmed this.

In a statement released over the weekend, Giovanni addressed the allegations and vehemently denied any wrongdoing. He expressed surprise at the accusations and rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behavior. Giovanni assured his 1.1 million followers that he is determined to clear his name. He emphasized his passion and competitiveness, stating that he has always strived to help his dance partners become the best dancers they can be. He concluded the statement by thanking his fans for their continued support.

Following Giovanni’s statement, Korina Travis, one of his former dance partners, came forward and claimed that he had subjected her to horrendous treatment.

Strictly Come Dancing Pro Giovanni Pernice has faced allegations of mistreatment from multiple former celebrity partners. The latest accusations come from an unnamed source who claims to have known Giovanni for years. They stated, “He has done horrendous things to me. I will not speak about my experiences with him, but I’m glad the world is seeing him for who he truly is.”

Speculation about Giovanni’s teaching style arose after Amanda Abbington, his celebrity partner last year, quit the show after just five weeks. In her statement addressing her departure, the Sherlock actress thanked the rest of her co-stars and the behind-the-scenes team for their support, without mentioning Giovanni directly.

Laura Whitmore, who partnered with Giovanni in 2016, has previously spoken out about her negative experience on Strictly. She revealed, “I was placed with a dance partner I was extremely uncomfortable with – and in the end, I felt broken, I cried every day. I really was broken, both mentally and physically, by the end.”

However, not all of Giovanni’s former partners have had negative experiences. Debbie McGee, his partner in 2018, had kind words to say about him. She praised his support and adaptability as a teacher, stating, “Giovanni has been incredible. He really supports every single step – and I mean every single step: even when I’m doing stuff on my own, he, off-camera, is giving me timing.”

These allegations against Giovanni have raised concerns about the treatment of celebrity partners on Strictly Come Dancing. It remains to be seen how the show will address these claims and ensure the well-being of its contestants. Stay tuned for more updates.
