A fan of Football Manager 2024 decided to test out Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou’s desire for more players like Cristian Romero by using the in-game editor to make every Tottenham player a version of Romero. The experiment resulted in a team full of Romeros who were not afraid of physical confrontation and put in some crunching tackles. However, this approach proved to be ill-disciplined, as the team received a staggering 21 red cards and 152 yellow cards in the Premier League, surpassing the record for the most red cards in a season. In the end, Kieran’s Tottenham full of Romeros lost both games against rivals Arsenal and finished eighth in the league. It seems that having 11 Romeros on the pitch at all times is not the winning formula according to Football Manager 2024. For more gaming stories, visit our Gaming page.
