Shakira Dives into the Dating Pool with Emily in Paris Star Lucien Laviscount
Shakira is making waves in her new chapter after parting ways with ex Gerard Piqué. Not only has she released record-breaking music, but it seems the Colombian singer is also exploring the dating scene.
According to an insider for Us Weekly, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is currently in a “casual” relationship with Lucien Laviscount, the heartthrob from Emily in Paris. The two first crossed paths while working together on Shakira’s steamy music video for her latest track, “Puntería.” Their chemistry was undeniable, as evident in the music video.
“They are casually seeing each other,” revealed the insider, sharing that their connection began on set. “Shakira was pleasantly surprised by how charming and funny he was,” the source added, emphasizing that they are still in the early stages of getting to know each other.
Another source disclosed that Shakira is “happy” with her blossoming romance with the British actor. “Shakira and Lucien have a light playful thing going on — and he’s very into her,” the source revealed.
Even before their relationship was confirmed, rumors of their connection had already been circulating. In late March, they were spotted leaving a dinner date together outside of Carbone in New York City, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. Shakira donned an all-black ensemble with shiny pants and loose curls, while Laviscount complemented her style with a chic leather jacket and blue-tinted sunglasses.
The actor also showed his support for Shakira’s surprise performance in Times Square for her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
