Lego has unveiled two new sets for adults with a Parisian theme. One set is a recreation of the famous Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, while the other is a Lego Art version of the iconic Mona Lisa painting.

The Notre-Dame de Paris set is not for the faint-hearted, with a whopping 4,383 pieces. However, for adult fans of Lego, it is an amazing architectural masterpiece. The set is designed to represent the cathedral before the devastating fire in 2019, showcasing all the changes that have been made to the building since its construction in 1163. Builders follow the same order as the real cathedral, starting with the curved back and ending with the famous spire. The completed model includes the bell towers, rose windows, and statues, with a removable roof that reveals the interior columns and gothic arches. The towers can also be removed to explore their brick-built details. Measuring 41cm long, 22cm wide, and 33cm high, the set comes with a name plate and adorable trees along the side. Priced at £199.99, the set will be available for pre-order now and will be officially released on June 1.

For art enthusiasts, Lego has also introduced a Lego Art version of the Mona Lisa. This is the first time Lego has tackled a famous portrait, and what better choice than Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece? The Lego Mona Lisa is made up of 1,503 Lego elements, capturing the original colors of the painting before they faded over time. The set has a 3D effect, with some pieces sticking out of the picture. It also features a more complex frame than usual. For those who prefer a more abstract appearance, the printed eyes can be replaced with blank Lego pieces. As with other Lego Art sets, there is a special podcast available to listen to while building the model. This podcast features Dr Francesca Borgo, Professor of Art History at the University of St Andrews, Jennifer Dasal, host of the ArtCurious Podcast, and Milan Madge, the designer of the Lego Art Mona Lisa. The set is priced at £89.99 and can be pre-ordered now, with an expected release date of October 1. Once completed, the model measures 43cm high, 30cm wide, and 4cm deep.

Whether you’re a fan of architecture or art, these new Lego sets offer a unique and immersive building experience. So why not listen to the special podcast while you work and create your own masterpiece? Pre-order now to ensure you get these exclusive sets on day one.
