Kat Slater and Alfie Moon (Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie) have had a tumultuous relationship in EastEnders over the years. Despite currently living together and being single, Kat has made it clear that they are just friends, much to Alfie’s disappointment. Sonny Kendall’s character, Tommy Moon, has previously encouraged Alfie to express his true feelings for Kat. After Alfie’s battle with prostate cancer, Tommy urged him to fight for what he wanted. However, just as Alfie was about to confess his feelings, their conversation was interrupted, and he lost his nerve.
Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) returned to the Square and was upset to find that Kat had taken his room in Alfie’s flat. When Freddie and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) teased Kat about her relationship with Alfie, she decided to move out and let Freddie have his room back. Freddie, determined to reunite Kat and Alfie, booked them a voucher for a spa break in the hopes that it would reignite their lost passion.
However, Freddie didn’t think things through and gave the voucher directly to Kat. She ended up ditching Alfie and inviting Big Mo (Laila Morse) instead. With his plan not going as expected, will Freddie find another way to bring Kat and Alfie back together? Will #Kalfie ever reunite, or is their relationship truly over for good?
