JERRY SEINFELD SLAMS HOWARD STERN: “WE’RE BETTER THAN HIM NOW”
In a shocking revelation, Jerry Seinfeld, the renowned standup comedian, didn’t hold back in expressing his true feelings about Howard Stern during a recent episode of the “Fly on the Wall” podcast. While discussing the rise of podcasts and Stern’s role in popularizing the format, Seinfeld boldly claimed that he and his colleagues have surpassed Stern in terms of comedic talent. “Howard is interesting. Howard is a great interviewer, but when it comes to comedy chops, can we be honest?” Seinfeld asked the podcast hosts, Dana Carvey and David Spade. While Spade agreed with Seinfeld’s sentiment, Carvey had a different opinion, stating that Stern’s show still has some comedic value thanks to his co-host, Robin Quivers. However, Seinfeld remained firm in his belief that there are better comedy podcasts out there, including the one hosted by Carvey and Spade themselves. According to Seinfeld, their show is the best on the air because they have good chemistry and don’t constantly interrupt each other, unlike some other hosts who can be quite annoying to listen to.
STERN’S LONGSTANDING FEUDS: MANCOW MULLER AND KATHIE LEE GIFFORD
Apart from Seinfeld, Howard Stern has also managed to make a few enemies throughout his lengthy career in the media industry. One of his former radio rivals, Mancow Muller, recently spoke out against Stern, criticizing him for the offensive comments he made in the 1990s. Muller revealed that during a time when his father was battling terminal cancer, Stern publicly attacked him and even threatened to “rape” him. Muller vividly recalled how Stern made his father the main topic of his show for an entire year, counting down to his death and discussing explicit and disturbing acts involving Muller’s mother and his deceased father. This feud between Stern and Muller was further explored in the “Dark Side of the 2000s” docuseries.
Additionally, Stern has had a longstanding feud with Kathie Lee Gifford, the famous “Way” star. Gifford revealed in a 2018 appearance on the “Today” show that Stern had always harbored intense animosity towards her, despite never actually meeting her in person. The reasons behind this feud remain unclear, but it’s evident that Stern has had his fair share of enemies over the years.
