Jerry Seinfeld Slams Political Correctness: “It’s for People Who Can’t Think”

Comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld is known for his no-holds-barred approach to comedy, and he has no plans of changing that. In a recent interview, Seinfeld criticized political correctness, calling it a concern for those who lack critical thinking skills. According to Seinfeld, these individuals often make offensive and foolish mistakes due to their inability to navigate sensitive topics.

Instead of succumbing to political correctness, Seinfeld suggests staying informed about current events and using that knowledge to navigate conversations. In a recent promotion for his new film “Unfrosted,” which explores the intense rivalry between Kellogg’s and Post in 1963, Seinfeld shared this advice. The movie was inspired by Seinfeld’s own love for breakfast cereals, particularly Pop-Tarts, which were created during the race between the two companies.

Seinfeld fondly recalled his childhood fascination with Pop-Tarts, describing them as a revolutionary and humorous food item. The comedian expressed his continued love for the product, stating that everyone he knows shares the same sentiment. To Seinfeld, the name and concept of Pop-Tarts are inherently funny, setting it apart from other foods.

In addition to starring in “Unfrosted,” Seinfeld also co-wrote the script and directed the film. Despite his prominent role, Seinfeld revealed that his true passion lies in writing. As a writer, his dream is to have his work represented exactly as he envisioned it, and being a director allows him to fulfill that dream. Seinfeld emphasized that, in his opinion, writing and performing are the only two things that truly matter, with everything else being a burden.

Fans can catch “Unfrosted” on Netflix starting May 3. Get ready for a hilarious journey through breakfast cereal history with Jerry Seinfeld and an all-star cast including Jim Gaffigan, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, and Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger.
