Lorraine Kelly Shocked as Reality Star Dropped from Show
ITV’s Lorraine Kelly was left stunned when she announced that reality star Ekin-Su would no longer be appearing on her show. The Scottish presenter made the revelation during a conversation with GMB’s Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.
Susanna said: “Lorraine is here at nine, now Lorraine, we thought you might have Ekin-Su on the programme.” Lorraine replied: “So did I! But alas, no. I don’t know what’s happened. I don’t know, we’re trying to find out but yeah. She was due to come in but no. So there we are.”
As Ed mentioned the edit Ekin-Su received on Celebrity Big Brother, Lorraine laughed and admitted she wasn’t happy. Susanna responded: “No she wasn’t, on Late and Live afterwards.” Lorraine added: “You know how you think, Oh they’re not happy but they’re just putting it on a bit? She genuinely was not a pleased and happy woman, interesting.”
The GMB star expressed her love for live television, and Lorraine agreed. Susanna stated: “Live television, it’s all there, isn’t it? Then no one can blame the edit, we can’t blame the edit can we Lorraine, a Lorraine moment is always live.” Lorraine agreed, emphasizing that anything said on live TV is out there for everyone to see.
ITV viewers witnessed Ekin-Su’s eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday night, alongside Levi Roots. However, when she appeared on the Late and Live show afterwards, it was evident that the 29-year-old was not pleased.
