FOLDABLE iPHONE RUMORED FOR 2025

Tech enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of a foldable iPhone hitting the market in 2025. Dubbed the ‘iPhone Flip’, this highly anticipated device has been the subject of speculation for years, especially as other companies have already released their own foldable devices. Samsung, for instance, has introduced the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold, while Google has unveiled the Google Pixel Fold and Motorola has come out with the Motorola Razr+.

Although Apple launches a new iPhone every year, there has been no official confirmation of a foldable device from the company. However, it did file a patent featuring an image of a foldable phone or tablet, which has only fueled the rumors. The patent images have recently surfaced online, adding to the growing belief that the ‘iPhone Flip’ is indeed in the works. It’s worth noting, though, that this device is unlikely to be among the mystery products set to be announced on May 7 at Apple’s Let Losse event.

Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions about Apple products, revised his earlier forecast and stated that a foldable Apple phone could be expected in 2025. However, there is an interesting twist to this story.

According to CCS Insight, a leading analyst firm, Apple may not be the first to release a foldable iPhone. In 2022, the firm predicted that Apple would instead experiment with foldable technology by introducing a foldable iPad. Ben Wood, the chief of research at CCS Insight, explained that it currently doesn’t make sense for Apple to dive into the foldable iPhone trend. He believes Apple will cautiously test the waters with a foldable iPad first, as a folding iPhone would be a high-risk move for the company. Wood also mentioned that a foldable iPhone would likely be incredibly expensive to avoid cannibalizing sales of existing iPhones.

Samsung has also made a similar prediction, suggesting that Apple will release a foldable iPad before launching a foldable smartphone. As of now, we are still eagerly awaiting any official word from Apple about their next move in the world of foldable devices.
