Dexter is making a comeback! After a two-year break, fans of the hit TV series can rejoice as a prequel is on the horizon. Hollywood icon Christian Slater, known for his roles in films like Heathers and True Romance, has even joined the cast of the spin-off titled Dexter: Original Sin. In this 10-part thriller, viewers will be taken back in time to witness a younger Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson from Shadow and Bone, as he transforms from a regular American student to a vengeful serial killer. Christian Slater will portray Dexter’s father, Harry, who helps him develop a Code to track down and eliminate society’s undesirables without attracting the attention of law enforcement.
Set 15 years before the original series, Dexter: Original Sin follows Dexter’s journey as he learns to embrace his dark side. This ’90s legend has also graced the big screen with his performances in films like Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Interview with the Vampire, and Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac.
