Sick abuser Tom King left Belle Dingle in agony when he purposefully burnt her hand beneath the tap. Instead of showing remorse for his actions, Tom gaslighted Belle and tried to convince her that she was overreacting. He even suggested that her injury was her fault. To cover up his abusive behavior, Tom played the doting husband and offered her a bandage.

But Tom’s manipulation didn’t stop there. He went on to claim that he had found Belle’s ‘stolen’ jewelry in a random pawn shop and that the police had returned it. However, viewers know that Tom had actually staged the break-in. Despite Belle’s horror at his casual attitude, Tom insisted that he didn’t want them to argue.

During their argument, Tom once again blamed Belle for the incident, claiming that they were arguing about something she had done. He belittled his actions by suggesting that he hadn’t known her hand was under the tap and let go as soon as he realized. But viewers know that this was not the case.

Tom further revealed that he suspected Belle was using the incident to distract from the fact that she had lied about taking contraceptive pills. His gaslighting tactics made Belle second guess herself, and she eventually agreed with Tom to put the incident behind them. Will Belle be able to escape Tom’s abuse before it escalates further?
