Danny Dyer’s daughter has provided an update on her health from a hospital bed after undergoing a “rare” surgical procedure. Former Love Island star Dani, 27, shared a TikTok video wearing a gown, where she informed her 600,000 followers that she had been admitted for keyhole surgery to remove her contraceptive coil, which had gone missing.

The mother-of-three went for a check-up after experiencing discomfort, and doctors discovered that the coil had completely dislodged and moved. In a previous video, Dani explained that she had multiple appointments for a nurse to check her Mirena coil, as she had been having issues with it. However, during the appointments, it was discovered that the coil had gone missing and had become completely dislodged.

On April 25, Dani posted another update, letting her fans know that the surgery went well and she was recovering. Speaking to the camera, she said that she felt fine, although a bit drowsy, and that she was more nervous about the general anesthesia. She described the experience as feeling like a really good sleep. Dani also mentioned that she was worried about potential scarring but reassured her followers that the scar was small and that the surgeon had glued it, so she expected it to heal well. She expressed that she just felt a bit tired but was otherwise feeling good and that she could resume normal activities.

In her earlier video, Dani emphasized that what had happened to her was rare. She explained that the surgery was necessary because of where the coil was embedded but assured her viewers that it was nothing major. In the comments, Dani disclosed that she had opted for private surgery, as the waiting lists on the NHS were quite long. She expressed gratitude for being able to have the procedure done sooner.
