Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is left shocked in a new Coronation Street spoiler video when she uncovers a major revelation about Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) murder. Following the reconstruction of Lauren’s last known movements, Bethany becomes panicked as she believes she spotted sex abuser Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) among the crowd. Despite Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) trying to reassure her that it was just her imagination and Nathan is still in prison, Bethany can’t shake the unsettling feeling she has. In the spoiler clip, Bethany becomes obsessed with watching the reconstruction video and has a terrifying thought that Lauren may have known something bad was going to happen to her.
As Daniel tries to persuade her to stop watching the video, Bethany insists on finding out what happened to Lauren, highlighting that the same thing could have happened to her if she hadn’t escaped from Nathan years ago. Bethany eventually spots Nathan in the video and shows Daniel, proving that she was right all along. In the following scenes, Bethany visits DS Swain (Vicky Myers) at the police station, who reveals that Nathan has been out of prison for several months.
Furious, Bethany urges Swain to bring Nathan in for questioning, convinced that he must be involved in Lauren’s murder. After conducting their own investigation, Bethany and Daniel discover that Nathan is working on a building site near the precinct, prompting them to pay him a visit. When Bethany finally confronts Nathan face to face, she is consumed by anger and accuses him of killing Lauren. Could Bethany be on the right track to uncovering the truth behind Lauren’s murder?
