Iconic Sugababes bop was one of the biggest songs of the mid 2000s – but did you know that a Coronation Street star appeared in the music video?

Released as the lead single to their album in September 2005, it’s unsurprising that the song reached No. 1 in the UK charts.

The song describes the sexual frustration a woman has for a man being oblivious to her signals, and in the video we see Keisha, Mutya and Heidi flirting with three blokes in a lift.

High camp.

The first of these fellas – the geeky one – is none other than Emrhys Cooper, better known to us as Corrie’s cult leader Rowan Cunliffe.

Emrhys joined the ITV soap earlier this year in a storyline that has seen legendary resident Leanne Battersby entwined in the sinister Altovalent Institute.

Leanne first met Rowan at the Chariot Square Hotel after driving adoptive son Simon there for a ‘self-help’ class. Neither mother or son were aware that these seminars were a lot more dangerous than what initially met their eye.

Since then, she’s gone on to form a close bond with Rowan, who has basked in the golden glow of her compliments.

Leanne’s fiancé Nick Tilsley expressed concern at her reliance on Rowan’s ‘reality coding’ ideologies, and was startled to discover she’d spent a whopping £400 to attend his online lectures.

In the last week we’ve seen the family struggle after she disappeared to one of the cult’s retreats, with Simon considering joining her there until Nick reached out to his dad Peter, who offered him a job on the yacht he’s working on.

In February, Emrhys reflected on his time with the Sugababes in a throwback post on Instagram.

He wrote: ‘Baby Geek Cooper 🤓 I can’t believe it’s been nearly 20 years since I shot the music video for the banger ‘Push the button’ where I played the geeky guy.

‘It came on at the gym today and put a smile on my face. I feel so grateful that I am still in the game… Still a geek and dreaming big.’

In next week’s episodes, all eyes will be on the mysterious disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). This gripping storyline is set to take center stage, leaving little room for any developments involving Leanne. However, as she remains isolated from the world and away from Weatherfield, it’s only a matter of time before things start to unravel. Keep an eye out for what happens next as Simon prepares to embark on a journey to see his dad.
