RENEE ZELLWEGER SPOTTED FILMING BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY IN LONDON

Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger, known for her role as Bridget Jones, was recently seen shooting scenes for the highly anticipated fourth installment of the franchise. Titled Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, the new movie will see Zellweger reprising her iconic character alongside Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson.

Photographs taken during an evening shoot captured Zellweger, 55, in character as Bridget, donning her signature look. Sally Phillips, who fans will remember as Shazza, was also spotted on set.

The film takes inspiration from the 2013 novel of the same name, where Bridget returns as a widowed mother in her 50s, coping with the loss of Mark Darcy, portrayed by Colin Firth in the previous films.

Excitingly, it has been confirmed that Grant’s character, the charming Daniel Cleaver, will be making a comeback after being absent from the last film. Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave) and Leo Woodall (One Day) have also joined the cast, with Woodall rumored to play Bridget’s younger love interest.

Author Helen Fielding has penned the script, deliberately omitting Mark Darcy from the storyline to avoid focusing solely on Bridget’s married life. While the US release date is set for Valentine’s Day 2025, the UK premiere date is yet to be announced.

Zellweger was spotted wearing a cozy, grey wool jacket layered with a black cardigan. She completed her look with a long green dress and fluffy black boots. Her blonde hair was styled in a relaxed bun, and she kept her makeup simple and elegant, sporting a nude lip and a radiant complexion.
