Brian Austin Green Reveals Jealousy Issues in Relationship with Tiffani Thiessen
In a candid interview on Shannen Doherty’s “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, actor Brian Austin Green opened up about his past romance with Tiffani Thiessen and how jealousy got the best of him. The 50-year-old actor admitted that their relationship took a turn for the worse when Thiessen joined the fifth season of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” Green, who dated the “Saved By the Bell” alum from 1992 to 1995, confessed that he had never been in a serious relationship before and struggled with intense jealousy.
Green, known for his role as David Silver in the series, explained that he would become incredibly jealous whenever Thiessen had to work with his castmates, whom he considered to be like family. He recalled bringing Thiessen to events where she got to know everyone, but things changed when she started doing sex scenes with people he considered his brothers. Green admitted that he was “f–king jealous and boisterous” during that time.
Thiessen’s character, Valerie Malone, had a sexual relationship with Luke Perry’s character, Dylan McKay. Despite moving in together before filming began, Green and Thiessen called it quits about a year later. Reflecting on his behavior, Green acknowledged that he mishandled the situation and should have realized that Thiessen was simply doing her job. He expressed regret for the way he acted and acknowledged the difficulty it must have been for her.
Thiessen, who recently turned 50, hinted at Green’s behavior during a 2015 interview on Meredith Vieira’s talk show. She revealed that she had to remind Green that she was getting paid to kiss Perry, which made things awkward on set. However, Thiessen emphasized that she and Green were able to make it work and remain close friends despite their split. She went on to marry Brady Smith in 2005 and they have two children together.
As for Green, he had a son named Kassius Lijah with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil in 2002 before marrying Megan Fox in 2010. The couple welcomed three sons, Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, before their split in 2020. Green recently welcomed his fifth child, Zane Walker, with his now-fiancée, Sharna Burgess, in June 2022. Despite the ups and downs in his romantic relationships, Green continues to navigate fatherhood and is focused on building a happy and fulfilling life.
