Tragic Discovery in Search for Missing Northumberland Teen
In a devastating turn of events, a body has been found in the search for 19-year-old Reagan Brown from Hexham. The young teenager was first reported missing from the Leazes Park area of Newcastle city centre on Monday, May 6.
The discovery was made yesterday afternoon in Leazes Park, where Northumbria Police divers and local Mountain Rescue teams had been tirelessly searching. While formal identification is still pending, Reagan’s next of kin have been informed and are currently receiving support from specially-trained officers.
Superintendent Kevin Waring of Northumbria Police expressed his condolences, stating, “This is an extremely tragic conclusion to our investigation and our thoughts are with Reagan’s loved ones at this difficult time. We are grateful to the officers, partners, and the wider public who assisted in the search and provided valuable information. We kindly request that Reagan’s family and friends are given privacy as they come to terms with this heartbreaking news.”
