Vanessa Feltz’s former fiancé, Ben Ofoedu, has opened up about their highly publicized breakup in February 2023, after being together for 16 years. The singer from Phats and Small expressed that while couples splitting up is not a major issue, their separation became one of the biggest stories of the year. However, time has been a great healer for Ben, as he has moved on and is now in a happy new relationship. He recently returned from a trip to Portugal and is excited to be going to Ibiza with his partner. Ben is grateful for the opportunity to share his passion with his new partner and is enjoying being on the road again.

In addition to his personal life, Ben is also looking forward to performing at the Superboxx Festival on July 6. He will be taking the stage with Phats and Small to perform their biggest hits, including their 1999 hit “Turn Around.” Ben credits the longevity of the song to stations like Kiss FM, as well as the internet and platforms like Spotify. He recalls having to delete the song at one point because it kept selling so well, but now he feels blessed to still be performing it 25 years later. “Turn Around” had a significant impact on Ben’s life, as it turned his life around when he was struggling financially.

Overall, Ben Ofoedu is in a positive and content place in his life, both personally and professionally. He has moved on from his past relationship with Vanessa Feltz and is excited about his new relationship. He is grateful for the success of “Turn Around” and the opportunities it has brought him. Ben is looking forward to performing at the upcoming Superboxx Festival and sharing his music with fans who may not have even been born when the song was released.

Superboxx Festival: Phats and Smalls to Take the Stage at Retro Event

Get ready for a blast from the past at Superboxx Festival! This retro event is set to bring back the magic of the ’80s with performances from iconic artists such as Phats and Smalls, Eternal, Bewitched, and Rozalla. Ben, one half of Phats and Smalls, can’t contain his excitement, stating, “I absolutely love them. I think it’s amazing. I think that when you’re doing it the second time around, it’s amazing to see so many people that you were in the boat with the first time around.”

The atmosphere at Superboxx Festival is electric, with everyone celebrating the achievements of the past. It’s not about selling records anymore, it’s about relishing in the nostalgia and enjoying a victory lap. Ben shares, “You get bunched in with people that were two years before you, two years after, or maybe even 10 years before you, and it’s just fantastic.”

For Ben, the festival is a dream come true as he gets to see some of his favorite ’80s bands perform. He mentions his love for T’Pau and the joy of occasionally catching a glimpse of Carol Decker. But one of the highlights of his career was sharing the stage with Boy George for four months straight. “That was one of the best times of my life, just hanging out with George,” Ben reveals.

Superboxx Festival will take place on Saturday 6th July at Rochester Castle, Kent. Located on the banks of the River Medway, this nostalgic day of pop and dance is not to be missed. Tickets are available on their website. Don’t miss out on this incredible event that forms part of the 3-day extravaganza at Rochester Castle Live, featuring performances from UB40 Feat Ali Campbell and The Kaiser Chiefs throughout the weekend.
