Thomas Tuchel is reportedly eager to make a comeback at Chelsea, believing that he still has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge. The club recently announced the departure of Mauricio Pochettino and has now begun the search for a new manager. While several names are being considered, Tuchel is said to be a strong contender. The 50-year-old previously managed Chelsea but was sacked by the club’s owners in September 2022. Despite the difficulties he faced during his tenure, Tuchel managed to win three trophies, including the prestigious Champions League. After a challenging season at Bayern Munich, Tuchel announced his departure from the club earlier this year.

Bayern Munich made a last-minute attempt to convince Tuchel to stay, but no agreement was reached. Tuchel confirmed that he would not be continuing with the team following their 4-2 defeat to Hoffenheim. He is now keen to return to the Premier League and is said to be open to a reunion with Chelsea. Discussions have reportedly taken place in recent days, even before Pochettino’s departure was confirmed. Tuchel believes that his work at Chelsea is unfinished and can envision himself returning to the club. However, the final decision will be made by the club’s hierarchy.

Chelsea is said to be interested in a young and progressive coach who emphasizes attacking, possession-based football. This has led to the speculation that Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna is a top candidate for the position. Other names being considered include Sebastian Hoeness from Stuttgart, Michel from Girona, and Enzo Maresca from Leicester City.
