TRAGIC PARACHUTE CRASH CLAIMS MAN’S LIFE IN COUNTY DURHAM

Emergency services were called to the South West Industrial Estate in Shotton, County Durham, after a man in his 40s tragically lost his life in a parachute crash. The victim, who remains unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday afternoon. BRITISH SKYDIVING BOARD TO PROBE FATAL INCIDENT

The British Skydiving Board (BSB) has announced that it will be launching an investigation into the incident. Sky-High Skydiving, a local skydiving company based at Shotton Airfield, has also stated that it will cooperate fully with the investigation. Once the investigation is concluded, reports will be submitted to the appropriate authorities, including the coroner, police, and British Skydiving.

POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Authorities are urging any witnesses who were driving on the A19 and may have captured the incident on their mobile phones or dashcams to come forward. The police are particularly interested in any footage that could assist with their investigation.
