Top Gear could be making a comeback on TV, and the question on everyone’s lips is: who will be the new host? According to Bettingsites.co.uk, it’s not Paddy McGuinness who’s leading the pack. Surprisingly, it’s Gordon Ramsay who’s emerged as the frontrunner with odds of 6/4.

We all know Gordon Ramsay as the fiery chef with a passion for cooking, but did you know he also has a love for sports cars? Alongside his daughter Holly, he has been spotted at various motoring events around the world. From Italy to Saudi Arabia, they have traveled far and wide to get their racing fix.

Gordon Ramsay’s car collection is nothing short of impressive. With at least eight top-quality Ferraris, as well as a fondness for Aston Martins, Porsches, and Land Rovers, he has quite the fleet. Notably, his Land Rover Defender 110 is a rare gem, as it is the only surviving stunt Defender from the James Bond movie Spectre. His Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta are also highly exclusive, with limited production numbers.

There’s even talk of Holly joining her father as a host on Top Gear. She has already made a name for herself as an influencer, with a large following on social media. While she primarily shares fashion and beauty content, it’s clear that her love for cars runs deep. In fact, she recently flaunted her new Aston Martin DBX707 on Instagram, playfully challenging her dad to a race.

However, Gordon and Holly may face tough competition if they want to take the reins of Top Gear. Other potential candidates include ex-footballer Jamie Redknapp, whose odds stand at 9/4. Despite co-hosting the spin-off show, Road Trippin’, his chances of hosting the iconic BBC show are more modest, at 9/2.

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan, who recently hosted the BAFTA TV Awards, is also in the running with odds of 5/2. Known for his sharp wit and humor, he could bring a fresh and entertaining perspective to the show. Lastly, Karl Pilkington, the beloved comedian from An Idiot Abroad, has odds of 8/1. His dry humor has captivated audiences for years, and he could be a wildcard choice for the role.

As the speculation continues, fans eagerly await the announcement of the new Top Gear host. Will it be Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Redknapp, Romesh Ranganathan, or Karl Pilkington? Only time will tell.

Saturday Kitchen star James Martin, who is currently battling cancer, has received odds of 12/1, while David Coulthard is estimated at 16/1. Despite being previous show hosts, James May, Richard Hammond, and Jeremy Clarkson’s chances this time around don’t look good, at 20/1, 25/1, and 40/1 respectively.

Matt LeBlanc, Jenson Button, Jack Whitehall, Steve Jones, and Ian Wright are some of the other contenders as the speculation heats up – but no-one seems to have landed such a strong lead as Gordon.

Head of Sporting News, Lee Astley stated: “Gordon Ramsey is a certified car aficionado, and has a stronger resumé than most having starred in Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip – a decidedly Top Gear-esque adventure show on wheels.

“A League of Their Own trio Micah Richards, Jamie Redknapp, and Romesh Ranganathan have a unique dynamic that could work, while racing presenters Steve Jones and Lee McKenzie could help push Top Gear towards the petrol-head audience.”
