Susan Boyle stuns with glamorous new look at Pride of Scotland Awards 2024

Susan Boyle turned heads on Monday night (May 20) as she made a rare public appearance, revealing a stunning transformation. The singer, who rose to fame in 2009 after auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent, attended the prestigious Pride of Scotland Awards 2024 held at DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow Central.

Dressed in a pale pink jumpsuit adorned with feather sleeves and intricate half-skirt details, she completed her look with an elegant clutch bag. Her hair, featuring golden highlights, was fashioned into a sleek bob with a side fringe.

Speaking to The Daily Star on the red carpet, she expressed her gratitude for being present at the event. “I feel so honored to be here. This is an incredible evening celebrating extraordinary people who deserve special recognition. Anyone going above and beyond should be applauded,” she said.

Her current polished appearance is a far cry from her initial audition for Britain’s Got Talent, where she wore an ill-fitting gold dress and no makeup, with her unkempt, curly hair falling just above her ears.

This year marks the 15th anniversary since her rise to fame on the talent show. Her audition, in which she performed “I Dreamed A Dream” from the musical Les Misérables, has garnered over 680 million views on YouTube to date.

Despite finishing as the runner-up, losing to dance troupe Diversity, Boyle went on to achieve immense success following the show’s conclusion. Her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, released in 2009, became the best-selling debut album in the UK of all time and set a record for first-week sales by a debut album.

In 2011, she made history in the UK music scene by becoming the first female artist to have three consecutive albums debut at No. 1 in less than two years. Alongside her recording career, she also delivered numerous captivating live performances, including one at Windsor Castle for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant, where she sang “Mull of Kintyre.”

Last year, she made a triumphant return to the ITV competition during the final, where she performed a duet with X Factor alum Lucie Jones on her original audition track, “I Dreamed A Dream.” The audience gave her a standing ovation, and afterwards, she revealed to hosts Ant and Dec that she had battled a stroke the previous year.

“It feels great (to be here). It’s extra special for me, last April I suffered a minor stroke and I fought to be back on stage and I have done it,” Boyle shared.

Simon Cowell praised her resilience, stating, “We owe you so much. I knew you weren’t well but if anyone was going to come back, you were going to come back. It wouldn’t be the same without you.”
