Christian Dumontet, the husband of Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, has reportedly filed for divorce following their recent domestic dispute. The couple made headlines in late March when police were called to their home due to an alleged altercation. Dumontet was accused of throwing a bag with a glass bottle, which ended up hitting their two-year-old son and causing injury. He was arrested on assault charges but later released. Now, Dumontet has cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce and is seeking sole custody of their son, Christian George. The couple got married in 2019 and their wedding was featured on Selling Sunset.

According to Page Six, Dumontet, who also goes by Christian Richards, has asked the court to terminate Quinn’s ability to seek spousal support. It is not believed that he will seek spousal support himself, but he is requesting sole legal and physical custody of their son. After the incident, Quinn was spotted without her wedding ring, indicating that the divorce was not unexpected. A court date has been set for April 11, and Dumontet has also attempted to file a restraining order against Quinn, although it was denied.

In court documents, Dumontet denied throwing anything at Quinn and claimed that the argument stemmed from her untrained dogs. He stated that he threw a full trash bag to the side of the room, not a glass bottle directly at her. According to the documents, there was no broken glass in the room or anywhere in the house. Dumontet alleged that Quinn walked out of the room, and shortly after, LAPD officers stormed the bedroom with guns drawn, ordering him out of the house.

It is unclear if the couple has a prenuptial agreement in place. They run a real estate business called RealOpen together, which they started after Quinn left Selling Sunset in 2022. Quinn, who was a fixture on the reality show for five seasons, is known for her glamorous lifestyle and selling homes to the rich and famous.
