SEINFELD STAR’S SECRET BATTLE WITH CANCER

In a shocking revelation, Michael Richards, best known for his role as Cosmo Kramer on the hit show “Seinfeld,” has opened up about his private battle with prostate cancer. The 74-year-old actor shared that he was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in 2018, but thanks to a life-saving surgery, he managed to beat the disease.

Speaking to People magazine, Richards recalled the moment he received the devastating news. “I thought, well, this is my time. I’m ready to go,” he said. However, the thought of his 9-year-old son changed everything. “I’d like to be around for him,” Richards realized. With that in mind, he made the decision to undergo a full prostate removal surgery.

According to Richards’ doctor, the biopsy results were not promising. “It had to be contained quickly,” the actor explained. “If I hadn’t gone for the full surgery, I probably would have been dead in about eight months.”

This life-altering experience inspired Richards to write his upcoming memoir, titled “Entrances and Exits.” The book will delve into his personal journey and will be based on the extensive collection of diaries he has kept throughout the years. “I had over 40 journals I’d kept over the years and wanted to do a full review of my life,” Richards shared. “I wanted to connect with feelings and memory.”

In addition to his battle with cancer, the memoir will also address Richards’ infamous racist tirade in 2006. The actor opens up about the incident and acknowledges his regrets. “He went low and I went even lower,” Richards writes in his book. “We both ended up at the bottom of the barrel.”

Despite the controversy, Richards reveals that his “Seinfeld” co-stars, Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, stood by his side during the aftermath of the scandal. However, he admits feeling embarrassed and concerned about the impact it had on them.

“Entrances and Exits” is set to be released on June 4, giving fans a deeper insight into the life of the enigmatic star. Richards hopes that his story will serve as a reminder that mistakes are a part of life and that growth and redemption are possible.
