Former Loose Women star slams show in explosive interview

Saira Khan, 53, has opened up about her time on the popular ITV show, admitting that she clashed with both co-stars and bosses. While she insists she didn’t “fall out with them all,” she revealed that she now only keeps in touch with four of her former colleagues.

In an interview with Woman’s Own, Saira revealed that she recently went out with Ruth Langsford to support Coleen Nolan on her solo tour in Blackpool. She also stays in touch with Andrea McLean and Denise Welch. Saira clarified that her issues were not with the girls, but rather with her own personal growth and comfort levels.

“It was more about me growing up and saying, ‘Look, this is what I like, and this is what I don’t like,'” she explained. “Some of the things that go on, I was just not comfortable with it, and I think you have to be honest with it. It doesn’t mean you’re falling out, it just means it’s not enough for me.”

Saira, who was a regular on the show from 2015 until 2020, shot to fame after coming runner up on The Apprentice in 2005.

Controversy surrounding Saira’s departure from the show

When Saira announced her departure from Loose Women, she revealed to The Mirror that one of the final straws was a request from show bosses for her to create an OnlyFans account.

“The straw that broke the camel’s back was when one of the young producers was sent running after me to ask whether I would be prepared to open an OnlyFans account,” she confessed.

Saira, who comes from a Muslim family, was shocked by the request, stating, “You’re asking an Asian woman who has a husband and kids to open an OnlyFans account? It’s just on your social media you’ve been posting images in your underwear and we thought if you could go undercover to see the kind of response you get from men, it would make a great story.”

Feeling humiliated and disappointed, Saira knew her time on the show was up. However, a spokesperson for Loose Women has strongly refuted her claims, emphasizing their commitment to the well-being of their panelists.
