Ruth Langsford has shared an update on her husband Eamonn Holmes’ health struggles, expressing concern that he may never fully recover. The Loose Women star revealed that Eamonn, who is 64 years old, is currently recovering from surgery and a shoulder injury. Since 2021, he has been using a walking crutch due to slipping three discs in his back. Last year, Eamonn underwent spinal surgery to address chronic back pain, which resulted in him losing full mobility and being off air for nearly four months. Ruth acknowledges the uncertainty surrounding Eamonn’s mobility improvement, stating that they remain hopeful but may have to accept that he will never be completely back to normal. She emphasizes the challenges of being a caregiver and expresses gratitude for the support of their family in managing the situation.

Eamonn’s mobility issues have significantly impacted his life since his surgery in 2022. He was unable to attend his mother’s funeral in Belfast due to his health problems and described feeling confined to a wheelchair. Eamonn expressed frustration with his circumstances, citing a series of unfortunate events, including a failed back operation and a broken shoulder. Despite these challenges, he commends his wife Ruth, whom he has been married to for 14 years, for her unwavering support. Eamonn acknowledges the difficulties he faces in his daily life but remains determined to regain his mobility. He credits the help he receives from those around him and expresses his indebtedness to Ruth, describing her as a strong and resilient force in his life.

Eamonn’s Health Struggles: No Signs of Improvement

In a recent interview, Eamonn shocked fans with his somber update on his health. The star revealed that there has been little improvement in his condition and no one can predict if things will get better.

It all started in 2021 when Eamonn suddenly experienced intense back pain. After medical examinations, it was discovered that he had three slipped disks, which severely affected the mobility in his right leg.

But that’s not all. Eamonn also shared a terrifying incident that occurred after his operation. He revealed, “[The operation] has set me back and made me fall down stairs. My leg gave way and I fell down 18 stairs. What am I supposed to do? How do you get to bed? So I fell down the spiral staircase, smashed my right shoulder.”

Our thoughts are with Eamonn as he continues to navigate these challenging times. We hope for a speedy recovery and send him our well wishes.
