ROCHELLE HUMES BREAKS DOWN AS SHE CELEBRATES ELDEST DAUGHTER’S BIRTHDAY

Former This Morning presenter, Rochelle Humes, was overcome with emotion as she marked her daughter’s 11th birthday. Humes, who had been attending the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in France, rushed back to London to prepare for the special occasion. Sharing a photo from the airport, the Saturdays star expressed her urgency, stating, “This Mama needs to rush back to LDN because my biggest baby turns 11 in the morning…” accompanied by crying and holding back tears emojis.

Upon her return, Humes unveiled the set-up for Alaia’s birthday, complete with a Jelly Cat-themed cake. Captioning the photo, she exclaimed, “My quickest turnabout yet… all ready for you big girl.”

To commemorate Alaia’s birthday, Humes took to Instagram on Monday (May 20) to share a series of photos. Among them was a black and white image of herself in a hospital bed just moments before giving birth. In the selfie, Humes was joined by her husband, Marvin, who was dressed in scrubs in preparation for their journey into parenthood. Reflecting on the moment, Humes gushed, “Look at us… Babies! Quite literally this time 11 years ago. She was born at 10.05am and this was just before I went down…” accompanied by a holding back tears emoji.

Humes continued to shower her daughter with love and admiration, posting a sweet snapshot of the two of them together. In the heartfelt caption, she wrote, “My best friend, my everything. The girl who taught me how to be a Mama and now she teaches us all about life and how to live it! I’m so proud to call her ours. She is our world and first of 3 of my all-time greatest achievements! Truly blessed with the best!”

Not to be outdone, Marvin shared his own collection of photos on Instagram, beginning with an adorable shot of him cradling baby Alaia. He then proceeded to showcase images of Alaia growing up throughout the years. In an emotional post, the JLS star addressed his 956,000 followers, reminiscing, “11 years ago today Roch and I became Mum & Dad for the first time. Our beautiful angel Alaia-Mai was born.”

Expressing his disbelief at how quickly time has passed, Marvin spent the day going through old photos and videos. He couldn’t help but express his pride in his daughter, describing her as “the most loving, kind, thoughtful, funny, and caring soul.” Marvin concluded his post with a heartfelt message, “We love you more than you’ll ever know. Happy Birthday Angel face.”
