Naomi Campbell Stuns at Cannes Film Festival in Re-Worn Dress from 1996

Naomi Campbell, the iconic supermodel, made a fashion statement at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival by re-wearing a dress she first debuted in 1996. The black sequined dress with sheer panels, originally part of Karl Lagerfeld’s fall/winter collection for Chanel in 1997, proved that its modern and edgy design has stood the test of time. Styled by celebrity stylist Law Roach, Campbell paired the dress with loose waves and a black thong underneath. She completed the look with black pumps, a quilted Chanel handbag, and statement earrings, while her makeup featured bright pink blush and matching lips.

Repeating outfits is a rare sight among celebrities these days, but Campbell is not the only one to embrace it. Glenn Close recently rocked a chic eggshell-colored double-breasted suit at the Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 Runway Show in New York City. Close proudly shared on Instagram that she first wore the suit five years ago at the SAG Awards and that it is now covered with tiny Swarovski crystals. Both Campbell and Close are setting an example of how to confidently re-wear and make a statement with timeless fashion choices.
