MARISKA HARGITAY REVEALS TOUGH LOVE FROM LAW AND ORDER SVU CREATOR DICK WOLF

Law and Order SVU has become a television phenomenon since its debut in 1999, and now it’s gearing up for its 26th season. At the center of the show is Captain Olivia Benson, portrayed by Mariska Hargitay, who has been with the series from the very beginning. But behind the scenes, it’s creator Dick Wolf who has been leading the way. Hargitay recently opened up about the tough love she has received from Wolf over the years.

“He’s said things to me that are almost paternal over the years, but tough,” Hargitay revealed. “When I say tough love, I mean, tough love. There’s no coddling…I can do hard things now. It’s been a magnificent journey. I have learned to advocate for myself, ironically, from Dick.”

Despite the challenges, Hargitay considers Wolf as family and they share a beautiful mutual respect. “He and I have had some gnarly negotiations. And I don’t think he’s had that with anyone else,” she added. It seems that their collaboration will continue for a long time, as Law and Order SVU’s future looks bright.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE SHARE THEIR STORY IN NEW NETFLIX SERIES

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been in the spotlight since stepping back from senior royal duties in 2020. In a trailer for their upcoming Netflix series, the couple addresses the public’s perception of their lives. Prince Harry states, “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” implying that their reality may differ from public opinion. Meghan adds, “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

Reports have circulated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive a significant sum, possibly up to $100 million, for the show. However, the true figure remains unknown and has been disputed.

SVU and Law and Order have both been renewed for new seasons, with SVU returning for its 26th season and Law and Order coming back for its 24th season. However, fans of the Elliot Stabler spin-off Organized Crime will have to make a switch, as the show will now be streaming on Peacock instead of NBC. Don’t worry though, you can still catch all the legal drama from the Law and Order franchise on NBC. Stay up to date with all the latest news by signing up for news notifications from Daily Express.
