SHOCKING: Man Accused of Pushing Boy off Cliff to Hide Crime
In a disturbing case that has shocked the nation, Anthony Stocks is alleged to have thrown a schoolboy off a 100ft cliff in Brighton. The horrifying incident reportedly occurred after the child tried to stop Stocks from raping his sister. The jury was told that Stocks had threatened the girl, saying he was going to “get rid of her brother.”
It is claimed that Stocks lured the 10-year-old boy on a trip to London, knowing that he was a passionate Chelsea supporter. However, instead of taking him to see the football stadium, Stocks took him to Brighton where he allegedly pushed him off the cliff with the intention of killing him.
Prior to the trip, Stocks reportedly approached the girl and made a chilling statement: “I’m going to push him off a cliff. I want to get rid of him so we can be together.” The girl, who was molested by Stocks when she was under 13 years old, pleaded with her brother not to go with him, fearing for his safety.
The court heard that Stocks had previously taken the boy to a quarry in Oxfordshire and had contemplated pushing him off the cliffs there. However, he changed his mind on that occasion. The jury also listened to recorded interviews with the girl victim, where she revealed that Stocks would follow her outside her home and engage in inappropriate behavior.
During the abuse, Stocks would tell the child that he loved her, but she expressed her fear of him and kept the assaults a secret, except from her little brother, whom she hoped would help her. Witnesses at the scene of the cliff incident reported hearing screams before the boy was thrown off.
Although the child survived, he suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to a London hospital. Initially believed to be an accident, investigations have since revealed a much darker picture. Stocks did not flee the scene but instead joined the public in assisting the injured child. He has been remanded in custody due to his inability to travel to court from his address in Goring-on-Thames.
