MAN CITY SECURE PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE WITH VICTORY OVER WEST HAM

Manchester City clinched the 2023-24 Premier League title on Sunday with a 3-1 win against West Ham, leaving Arsenal disappointed for the second consecutive season. Both City and Arsenal had a chance to secure the trophy on the final day, but the Gunners needed City to drop points while also winning their own match against Everton. However, City showed no signs of faltering as they claimed their sixth title in seven seasons and made history as the first team to win four consecutive English top-flight titles.

Phil Foden was the hero for City, scoring two goals to lead his team to victory. He opened the scoring just two minutes into the game with a powerful strike from 18 yards. Foden then doubled City’s lead later in the first half, finishing off a brilliant team move orchestrated by Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku.

Meanwhile, Arsenal managed to beat Everton 2-1, but it was not enough to secure the title. They fell behind early in the game due to a deflected free-kick from Idrissa Gueye, but Takehiro Tomiyasu equalized for the Gunners with a well-taken shot from outside the box. Kai Havertz then scored a late winner for Arsenal, but it was all in vain as City’s lead over West Ham remained intact.

With this victory, City now have 10 Premier League titles to their name, while Arsenal finish the season with only the Community Shield as their sole silverware.
