BBC Garden Rescue star Lee Burkhill has issued a warning to viewers of the hit BBC One gardening show. The tattooed gardener, known as ‘the garden ninja’, has gained a large fan base with his stunning garden transformations across the UK, working alongside co-star Charlie Dimmock. However, Lee has felt the need to address the upcoming series and warn viewers about potential backlash due to his outfit choices. He compared it to the reaction Charlie Dimmock received in the past for not wearing a bra on Ground Force.

Lee Burkhill expressed his excitement for the new season of Garden Rescue, revealing that vests will be making a comeback. He jokingly warned the “haters” to brace themselves for his sleeveless looks, as the weather is perfect for showing off his tattooed arms. Lee even mentioned how Charlie Dimmock faced criticism for her wardrobe choices back in the day, implying that he expects similar reactions. Despite this, he assured fans that all shapes and sizes are welcome on Garden Ninja.

Fans quickly came to Lee’s defense, showing support for both him and Charlie. Many reminisced about the controversy Charlie faced for not wearing a bra on television, finding it amusing that Lee’s arms are now causing a similar uproar. They encouraged Lee to wear his arms proudly and not let the criticism affect him. Others praised Charlie for her individuality and practicality, emphasizing that both Lee and Charlie should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

BBC Garden Rescue airs every day at 3.30pm on BBC One and is also available on BBC iPlayer.
