Maya Jama, the host of Love Island, recently had a hilarious encounter with King Charles at a Buckingham Palace garden party. Maya, who introduced herself as a TV presenter, asked the baffled monarch if he watched the reality dating show. The King responded with a witty remark, saying, “There’s one born every minute.” It seems that Maya’s banter left everyone wondering if she had inspired King Charles to become a secret Love Island fan.

During the event, Maya also mentioned her upcoming plans to film in Spain, where she will capture some young people “snogging” someone. Other celebrity attendees included Louis Theroux, Sir Ridley Scott, and Tracey Emin. Louis, intrigued by King Charles’ TV habits, couldn’t determine if the King was a fan of his documentary work, but he jokingly expressed his desire for him to be one.

Although King Charles may not be familiar with Love Island, he is no stranger to the world of television. He has various acting credits and even has his own IMDb page. Charles has appeared in popular British soaps like Coronation Street and EastEnders, as well as children’s show Jacknory. He has also made appearances on shows like The Repair Shop and This Morning.

When it comes to his favorite TV shows, King Charles has previously mentioned being a fan of the BBC period drama Poldark. During a visit to a bookshop in Cornwall, he expressed his amazement at the number of episodes the show’s writer had penned. It’s clear that King Charles enjoys a diverse range of television content, and perhaps Love Island will make its way onto his watchlist in the future.

King Charles has revealed his love for the popular BBC drama Poldark. The revelation came during a trip to Denmark in 2012, where Queen Camilla also shared her love for Nordic noir series, The Killing. The royal couple even had the opportunity to meet the stars of the show, including actress Sofie Gråbøl.

During a reception for the couple, Søren Sveistrup, the creator of The Killing, mentioned that it was Queen Camilla who introduced King Charles to the series. He added that The Killing was one of the few things they could agree on watching together.
