Jennifer Lopez opened up about feeling misunderstood, comparing herself to her character in her new movie “Atlas.” The 54-year-old star expressed that she sometimes feels “misunderstood at times,” just like her character who is closed off and doesn’t show her emotions. However, Lopez also mentioned that she is a person with strong emotions. She stated, “I am too much emotion sometimes.” She further emphasized that she is sure of her feelings, just like her character in “Atlas.”
These comments from Lopez come amidst rumors of a split with Ben Affleck, whom she married in July 2022. An insider recently claimed that Lopez’s interest in buying an investment property has nothing to do with the divorce speculation. Another source revealed that their marital problems started a few months ago. The speculation surrounding their split was fueled when Lopez “liked” an Instagram post describing a partner with unhealthy traits.
Although Lopez and Affleck were seen together for the first time in over a month last Thursday and attended a movie event on Sunday, a source close to Affleck’s camp revealed that he would prefer to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity. The source stated, “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.” Another source mentioned that Affleck believes Lopez has a hard time feeling satisfied, which is one of the issues they are facing.
Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala alone, sparking rumors of a breakup. She also appeared solo at the “Atlas” premiere, although she was wearing her wedding band. It was later confirmed that Affleck couldn’t attend these events due to his filming commitments for “The Accountant 2.”
