Jay Blades’ wife Lisa-Marie Zbozen has expressed her gratitude to fans for their support following their split. The couple, who starred on The Repair Shop, recently ended their 18-month marriage. Lisa, 43, took to social media to share the news, stating that she was “incredibly sad” and feeling “very broken”.

In a recent update, Lisa tearfully thanked her followers for the “helpful” reading material they had sent her. In a video posted on Instagram, she shared her feelings about the separation, mentioning how memories often take over her thoughts instead of facts. She also expressed empathy for others going through similar situations, questioning when the pain would subside and why she wasn’t enough. Despite her sadness, Lisa admitted that she should be angry but instead, she just felt sadness.

Jay and Lisa announced their engagement in December 2021 and tied the knot in Barbados 11 months later. The intimate ceremony, attended by only 15 guests, was featured exclusively in Hello! Magazine. Reflecting on their wedding, Lisa emphasized the importance of having loved ones present on their special day.

Jay, a regular on The Repair Shop, has announced that he will be taking a break from social media following the tragic murder of his uncle. In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Jay revealed that his uncle was a “super nice guy” and his untimely death has deeply affected him. He expressed the need to take a step back and focus on his well-being, stating that “when things happen, you really need to take stock and just relax.”

The incident involving Jay’s late uncle, Richard Brathwaite, occurred on March 21 in Wembley. It is alleged that a neighbor, who lived on the same street, fatally stabbed him during a dispute over items in the shared alleyway between their homes. Jay’s aunt, who is 71 years old, also sustained injuries during the incident.

According to The Mirror, a man appeared in court on March 26 and was charged with murder, wounding with intent, and possession of a bladed article in a public place. Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC stated that the murder was a result of a long-running dispute between the defendant and the deceased. Judge Sarah Whitehouse KC has set a plea hearing for June 11, with a three-week trial scheduled to begin on January 27, 2025.

Jay’s decision to take a break from social media is a reminder of the importance of self-care and prioritizing mental health. It is essential to take time to process and heal after experiencing a traumatic event. We wish Jay and his family strength during this difficult time.
