JAMES MARTIN SHOCKS FANS WITH SPLIT FROM LOUISE DAVIES
TV chef James Martin left fans stunned when he announced his split from long-time partner Louise Davies earlier this year. Many were left wondering why the couple never tied the knot, but James, 51, revealed that marriage was never on the cards for them.
The couple, who had been together since 2023, decided to part ways in December. It wasn’t until months later that they made their breakup public. James and Louise met on the set of Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and had been living together in a luxurious mansion in Hampshire.
Despite their separation, sources have reported that James and Louise have remained good friends. However, Louise has since moved out of their shared home. The real reason behind their split was never publicly disclosed, but James had previously expressed his disinterest in marriage.
In an interview from a few years ago, James made it clear that he had no desire to walk down the aisle. “Marriage doesn’t interest me in the slightest,” he confessed. Having catered for numerous weddings throughout his career as a chef, James felt content with his decision.
“I don’t need to spend 60 grand a day on a wedding. I’m more than happy thanks,” he added. Instead of investing in a lavish ceremony, James revealed that he preferred to spend his money on his passion for cars.
Aside from his culinary pursuits, James is a devoted petrolhead. He owns an impressive collection of high-end vehicles, including a Chevrolet Corvette, a Lotus 340R, a 1948 Maserati, and two retired Formula One cars. While his friends may be settled down with families, James has no regrets about his choices.
Although he acknowledges the challenges of parenthood, James believes that his career has always taken precedence. “The level of commitment it requires and the choices you have to make have a huge impact,” he admitted. Recently, it has been reported that James has moved on from Louise and is now dating personal trainer Kim Johnson.
