The Good Doctor season seven is coming to an end, and fans are curious about what’s next for the show’s star, Antonia Thomas. Thomas, who played Dr. Claire Browne, has been a confidante to Dr. Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) since the beginning. However, she made her exit in season four when she decided to stay behind in Guatemala after a trip to help those in need. Despite her departure, Claire has made a few appearances at St Bonaventure Hospital, including her most recent visit in season seven’s penultimate episode, Unconditional. Fans can expect to see her return for the series finale on Tuesday, May 21 on ABC.
While The Good Doctor may be ending, Antonia Thomas is keeping busy with three major film projects. The first is a horror movie called Bagman, which is currently in post-production. Thomas will be playing the character Karina and will be starring alongside Sam Claflin, known for his roles in Me Before You and Peaky Blinders. The film follows a father who must confront a sinister threat from his childhood that has returned to haunt him. His fight is not just for himself, but for his family.
The second film, titled The Scurry, is a comedy-horror currently in production. Thomas will be joined by Ella Purnell, Rhys Ifans, and Paapa Essiedu. The story revolves around a horde of deranged squirrels seeking revenge on the staff and visitors of an eco-cafe, causing chaos and mayhem.
Lastly, Thomas is also involved in a pre-production thriller called Past Life. This film features John Hannah, known for his roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral and The Mummy. While details about the plot are scarce, it promises to be a more serious and intense project.
