Aaron Dingle received life-changing news from his mother Chas in yesterday’s episode of Emmerdale. Chas revealed that she has inherited a faulty gene from her mother Faith, which is the cause of her cancer. She also informed Aaron, his brother Cain, and Caleb about the possibility of them inheriting the gene as well. Chas explained that a positive test for the BRCA1 gene increases the chances of developing certain types of cancer. While Cain and Caleb understood the importance of taking the test, Aaron seemed less concerned. During a conversation with Vinny at the pub, Aaron expressed that he saw no point in getting tested since he doesn’t have any children. Vinny suggested that the test might bring Aaron some peace of mind, but Aaron preferred to remain ignorant, believing that what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
