Beloved TV star Eamonn Holmes has finally spoken out following reports of his split from Ruth Langsford. The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire in 2010, had been together for 13 years. They have a son named Jack, who is 22, while Eamonn also has two sons, Declan and Niall, as well as a daughter named Rebecca from a previous marriage.

On Saturday, it was revealed that Eamonn and Ruth had decided to part ways and were in the process of getting a divorce. However, the couple has yet to address the reports directly. Fans were left puzzled by Eamonn’s latest social media post, where he celebrated a football match instead of addressing the split claims with Ruth. He wrote, “My God, what a Cuo Final, what a Result! #MUFC European football next season too. The Magic of The Cuo. Congratulations to the whole squad.”

Eamonn and Ruth first met in 1995 when he was hosting GMTV. A mutual friend introduced them, and they took their time in developing their relationship, as Eamonn had recently ended his previous marriage. The couple later became hosts of This Morning in 2006 before leaving the show in December 2021. Ruth continued her role on Loose Women, while Eamonn embarked on a new journey with GB News.

The Sun recently reported that Eamonn and Ruth are currently going through divorce proceedings. The publication stated, “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Despite their alleged separation, Ruth has shown her support for Eamonn, particularly regarding his health. In an interview with Women’s Weekly, she expressed uncertainty about his mobility, saying, “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope.”

Neither Eamonn nor Ruth have directly addressed the rumors of their separation. However, it was previously reported by the Daily Mail that announcements on social media were expected, with an insider describing the situation as a “very sorry tale.”
