Back in October, when news of McDermott’s relationship with Calo first broke, sources revealed that Spelling was surprised but supportive. According to an insider, she was ready to start dating as well. The couple met in 2005 on the set of Mind Over Murder, but they were both married to other people at the time. They got married in 2006 and have five children together. In 2014, McDermott admitted to cheating on Spelling, but they tried to work through their issues. However, in June 2023, McDermott announced their split on Instagram, which was later confirmed by both parties.
Despite their divorce, it’s clear that McDermott and Spelling are committed to supporting each other and focusing on their own happiness.
