Daniel Radcliffe is grateful for his successful transition from child star to Broadway legend. The actor, known for his role as Harry Potter, credits the many opportunities he received to showcase his talent in productions such as “Equus” and “How to Succeed in Business.” Radcliffe acknowledges that not all child stars are fortunate enough to continue enjoying their work as they grow older, but he has always had a passion for acting.

Radcliffe’s career took off when he was just 12 years old, cast as the lead in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” He went on to star in all eight films of the franchise. However, he didn’t stop there. In 2007, Radcliffe ventured into stage acting with “Equus” and later took on another role in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” He found equal joy in both his on-screen and on-stage performances.

Now 36 years old, Radcliffe has received a Tony nomination for his role in the Stephen Sondheim revival, “Merrily We Roll Along.” He admits to preparing extensively for the show, even driving his girlfriend, Erin Darke, crazy with his constant rehearsals. Darke, whom he met on the set of “Kill Your Darlings” in 2012, has been supportive of his career. Radcliffe jokingly suggests that she could easily fill in for him in a pinch, as she has become familiar with the show’s tongue-twister song.

Radcliffe and Darke recently welcomed their first child together in April 2023. Despite his success and growing family, Radcliffe remains grateful for the opportunities he has had and his ongoing passion for acting. He considers himself lucky to have been able to pursue his dreams and continue to excel in his craft.
