An American soldier is facing charges after allegedly beating his eight-month-old daughter to death because she wouldn’t stop crying. Sgt Gabriel Ceville, stationed at Fort Liberty in North Carolina, is accused of causing fatal head injuries to his daughter, Misty Delatorre, in February 2023. The North Carolina Medical Examiner ruled the child’s death as a homicide, but no one was initially charged. However, after relentless efforts from Misty’s mother and grandmother, Ceville was finally charged this month. Misty’s grandmother, Misty Bray, expressed her desire for justice, stating, “I just want my grandbaby’s death to be accounted for.”
