WWE is set to make a grand return to Saudi Arabia this weekend for the highly anticipated King and Queen of the Ring finals. Despite some claims of a curse surrounding the legendary tournaments, previous winners such as ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, Zelina Vega, and William Regal have solidified their names in history. This time around, Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, and Sami Zayn will face tough challenges as they strive to claim the crowns and potentially become new champions in WWE.

Logan Paul’s involvement in the match announcement didn’t sit well with fans initially, but it has certainly piqued their curiosity to see how he will measure up against the American Nightmare. Adding to the excitement, this weekend’s show will mark the first time that SmackDown will be broadcast live from Saudi Arabia.

The King and Queen of the Ring event is scheduled to air on Saturday, May 25, with the premium live event commencing at 6pm for UK viewers. To kick things off, the usual Kickoff preview show will be available to stream via various platforms such as the WWE Network, WWE.com, the WWE app, X, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch, starting at 5pm. UK fans can then catch the main event live or on demand through the WWE Network or by ordering the show on TNT Sports Box Office.

It’s worth noting that WWE’s content will be making a switch to Netflix in January 2025 as part of a monumental $5 billion deal, so fans should expect changes in the coming years. As for the updated match card for King and Queen of the Ring, it includes exciting matchups such as GUNTHER vs. Randy Orton or Tama Tonga, Lyra Valkyria vs. Nia Jax or Bianca Belair, Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Logan Paul, Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan, and Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed.

In the midst of all the anticipation, WWE superstar GUNTHER is determined to carve out his own path as he vies for the title of King of the Ring.

GUNTHER is on a mission to become the King of the Ring this weekend. He has been dominating the Raw side of the bracket with impressive wins over Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and Jey Uso. Following in the footsteps of legendary champions like Harley Race, Booker T, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, GUNTHER is eager to make his mark in history.

The Austrian wrestler, who recently lost the IC Title at WrestleMania 40, is determined to claim the King of the Ring crown. However, he hasn’t decided how he will incorporate the crown into his persona if he emerges victorious. GUNTHER sees the trophy as a prize and believes it won’t fundamentally change who he is or how he presents himself on screen.

Predicting the outcome of the King of the Ring tournament is a tough task. However, GUNTHER is considered the favorite to win. As the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, he is ready to elevate his career to the next level. The opportunity to earn a championship match at SummerSlam adds even more significance to his quest. Whether he faces Randy Orton or newcomer Tama Tonga in the final, defeating the Apex Predator would set GUNTHER on the right path.

In the Queen of the Ring tournament, rising star Lyra Valkyria has already built a strong connection with the fans. A victory over either Nia Jax or Bianca Belair would instantly make her a star. Meanwhile, although Logan Paul is not expected to defeat Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, their match promises to be fantastic. Additionally, Liv Morgan is predicted to defeat Becky Lynch and continue her Revenge Tour.

The Intercontinental Title is up for grabs, and Sami Zayn is favored to retain the gold. However, there are arguments to be made for Chad Gable to emerge victorious. Perhaps SummerSlam would be a more suitable stage for Gable’s championship win.
